We heard that an ambulance was hit over the weekend in the Camby area? We were told a car blew the light and broadsided it. Who was the service and is everyone ok?

Indy EMS, your local 3rd service blog. We are not the police, and no matter what our uniforms say, most of us are not firefighters. This is our site. This is where we can come to exchange ideas, develop plans, and yes even vent. Please keep it clean, on point, and respectful to others and their ideas. Oh yeah, and don't forget HIPPA. We wouldn't want to end up unemployed or in court for a slip of the tongue. Read. Post & Enjoy.

The crash involved a Seals BLS unit enroute to assist a medic with a cardiac patient. All peronnel are fine the other driver was injured. The crash is under investigation.
Didn't Seals just wreck their spray painted truck a couple months ago?
Seals shouldn't even be included in a discussion of EMS. Its a taxi with a siren.
Really a taxi with a siren? Do you realize a great number of union FF work here part time and so do Wishard folk. Its time that everyone realize that private pukes work as hard or harder than most 911 personnel for less money. My people have the same training and have the same requirements as you. Most 911 were private before they got there 911 job. Oh how we forget!!!
A lot of times aren't we all just taxis with sirens?
Hell yeah...you do !! Work harder for less money. Which brings about the question....why would anyone do that shit on thier days off ?? I'd rather go drive a delivery truck, or work in an ER than to transport nasty ass MRSA patients from hospital to hospital or dr. appts....YUK !!
They have to work as private service grunts....They're simply not good enough medics or EMT's to work anywhere else....And saved the long-winded diatribe(look up that big word if you don't know what it means) about how private service is the same as Wishard or IFD, its not even in the same league.
Worked at seals for over a year now, never had a complaint, very well ran by Randy.
Lets get something straight here, I have worked both 911 and private services. You can train a monkey to do 911, but it takes real skill and knowledge to figure out and treat the ECF patients. You actually must have personality to deal with the type of patient and/or ECF staff that the private services have to deal with.
I take it you have never worked in a private service, and if you have, it obviously wasn't for a very good one Mr (or Ms, but you sound like a pompous prick to me) I take very much offense to what you say, you arrogant simpleton. How do you figure that private service employees are less than you? Because they are in a field where they are able to actually take the time to get to know thier patients on a very personal level? How about the fact that they go to the places that REFUSE to call 911 because all they get to "care" for thier sick are assholes like you. For your information, in case you did not know or do not realize it, Seals in fact, does 911 for 3 counties. They have been called out to other counties to aid in thier desperate need. They aided in the evacuation of Columbus regional, they provided 911 coverage for Jasonville when they were underwater, they were 911 coverage for Elwood recently, AND they were part of Camp Indiana during hurricaine Katrina. FURTHERMORE they have MANY IFD and Wishard employees who work for them both PART and FULL time. Are you telling me that they, your brothers in arms, work for them becuase they are not "good enough" to work for you?
I bet they would hire you because your attitude is so abysmal that they would not hire you if you were the only wheel chair van driver they could find. You are a deficient waste of oxygen-obligatory mouth breather! On a much lighter note, I love and respect all 911 service, but I like the care that I can give my patients. AND, for the record, I am one HELL of an EMT.
