Has anyone taken a look at the Wishard careers page lately? They have posted several “internal only” positions. The first is titled “EMS Operating Chief” and the second is “EMS Planning Chief.”
One has to ask, why spend good money creating new positions when they can’t even keep trucks on the road or adequate staffing levels of paramedics on the street?
What is up with the “Chief” title for these positions? Do they know something they don't want to share?
What exactly are these positions going to do, and who is doing it now?
What is Chuck Ford’s status with Wishard Ambulance? Is he removing himself from direct role in the service, or is he turning the service over to someone else to run entirely? Inquiring minds want to know.

I wanna be the wishard planing chief. It seems like it could be a pretty cush job. Go in, sleep a few hours, have lunch, take a nap, wake up, go home. wishard hasnt planned for anything for years. dont believe me. look at the shape they are in. If Ford can keep his job after being asleep at the wheel for this many years, the new plannng chief should be able to nap his way through the day.

I this really true? Seems this blog has been turned into a Wishard bashing page...OK go ahead and bash, but if all you do is come after Wishard, soon people will loose intrest. When you started this I had higher hopes. Oh well, lets ee if you print this?

Look at all the NIMS classes that we all took. Chief of Planing and Operations make everything NIMS compliant.
8:46, While it is true, we have been critical of Wishard here, they have been the ones to step forward. If you would be willing to put forth some ideas, we would be more than willing to look into it. We have one coming up involving a completely different arena.
It is not our intent to "go after" anyone or any one service. "Most" of our content is merely informantion. The comments on these posts are only blocked for content involving HIPPA.

So this is what I understand up to date about the whole chuck thing. I guess he is VP of safety and security? he not only is "director" of the ambulance service, he is also the director of security at the hospital as well. as far as i know the ''ems operations chief" is supposed to act as a middle man between chuck and the street managers. i dont know anything else about the other.
There are alot of good people at Wishard, that deserve better than what Chuck "doofus" Ford can give them. Can't someone assist in getting rid of this guy. Seriously !!
